How to UseĀ Regrouper

Auto-Consolidate

  1. Select one or more shape layers with multiple groups
  2. Click theĀ RegrouperĀ button
  3. Groups with matching fill/stroke settings areĀ consolidatedĀ and ordered based on their stacking order

Manual Merge

  1. Select 2 or more groups you want to merge
  2. Alt/Option + clickĀ theĀ RegrouperĀ button
  3. Selected groups are consolidated.

What It Matches

Regrouper considers groups identical if they share:

  • Fill color
  • Stroke color
  • Stroke width
  • Line caps and joins

Disabled fills and strokes are ignored.

Liquid error: Nil location provided. Can't build URI.

Installation

Copy theĀ Regrouper.jsxĀ file into your After EffectsĀ ScriptUI PanelsĀ folder, then restart After Effects.

  • OSX:Ā /Applications/After Effects #version#/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels/
  • Windows:Ā /Program Files/Adobe/Adobe After Effects #version#/Support Files/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels/
