Premiere native effect
Animate clips from
one state to another.
Motion State is a native Premiere effect for building polished A/B motion transitions directly on your clips β position, scale, rotation, crop, rounded corners, stroke, glow, easing, timing, and more.
Why Motion State Exists
Premiere has motion controls.
But not motion design controls.
Premiere can move, scale, and rotate a clip. But when you want repeatable, polished motion β matching start and end states, easing the timing, cropping the source, styling the edge, rounding the corners, and reusing the look across an edit β the workflow gets slow fast.
Motion State turns that into one effect: set State A, set State B, choose the timing, and let the plugin handle the in-between.
The workflow
Build the transition
your edit actually needs.
Set State A and State B
Dial in the starting and ending look for the clip β transform, opacity, crop, corner style, stroke, glow, and more.
Control the timing
Choose whether the motion happens at the clip start, clip end, or across the full duration, with split ease-in and ease-out control.
Save reusable looks
Use Premiereβs native effect preset system to save practical starting points and apply the same motion style again later.
Everything included
The motion controls
Premiere was missing.
Transform
Position, scale, rotation, opacity, and content offset for both states.
Crop and corners
Crop each edge, link symmetrical crop, and create rounded or squircle corners.
Stroke and glow
Add solid or gradient strokes, animated gradient cycling, and glow styling.
Timing and easing
Clip start, clip end, or full-duration transitions with split ease-in and ease-out controls.
Hold modes
Use State A or State B as a static styled look when you donβt need animation.
Motion blur
Optional motion blur for moves that need a more natural finish.
Native rendering
Metal on Mac, CUDA on Windows/NVIDIA, with a CPU fallback path when needed.
Built-in licensing
In-effect activation, offline grace, and watermark enforcement are already part of the beta.
Before You Buy
Things you should
know first.
Motion State is a native Premiere effect, not a standalone animation app. Hereβs the honest version before this goes live.
Premiere is the host
Motion State lives inside Premiereβs Effects panel and is applied to clips like a normal video effect.
GPU support is platform-specific
Mac uses Metal. Windows GPU acceleration is CUDA/NVIDIA. AMD or Intel-only Windows machines should fall back to CPU rendering.
Still in beta
The plugin is working on Mac and Windows, but broad cross-platform testing is still in progress before public launch.

Hi, I'm Jake
I live in Denver, Colorado, with my wife, two kids, and a Dalmatian named Pixel. For more than a decade, I've been teaching motion designers how to work more efficiently.
You might have seen my motion design tutorials on YouTube, my courses on Skillshare and School of Motion, or the custom tools Iβve built for motion designers.
Motion State exists because polished motion inside Premiere should not require a pile of manual keyframes every time you want a clip to move with intention.
