How to Use Solid Sweeper

Basics

  1. Click the Solid Sweeper button
  2. Congratulations, your solids folder is clean.

What It Finds

Solid Sweeper identifies solids and nulls with identical:

  • Dimensions
  • Color

What It Does

  • Replaces all duplicates with a single source solid
  • Updates every layer reference in your project automatically
  • Deletes the unused duplicate footage items from your Solids Folder

Installation

Copy the Solid Sweeper.jsx file into your After Effects ScriptUI Panels folder, then restart After Effects.

  • OSX: /Applications/After Effects #version#/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels/
  • Windows: /Program Files/Adobe/Adobe After Effects #version#/Support Files/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels/
